I can't sugar coat it (pun intended), there are some scary ways sugar impacts your brain health.

First, you need to know there is an important relationship between glucose metabolism and cognitive function.

Glucose metabolism is the process by which the body breaks down carbohydrates into glucose (blood sugar) and uses it as a source of energy. Glucose is the brain's primary fuel and its steady supply is crucial. Having too much or too little glucose can lead to energy deficits in the brain, affecting focus, memory, and mood regulation.
